moving.

But as I read the report, I realized something.

I had spent the last year rebuilding Aura.

Now I wanted to build something outside it.

I called David.

“What would you think about closing one day a week?”

His eyebrows rose.

“Closing?”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“So everyone gets a day off.”

He stared at me.

“You’re serious.”

“Yes.”

“We’ll lose revenue.”

“Probably.”

“Are you okay with that?”

I looked toward the smiled.

“Maybe.”

The decision wasn’t easy.

But we did it.

Starting the following month, Aura would close every Monday.

The staff celebrated.

I felt strangely relieved.

That first Monday, I woke up without an alarm.

I walked to a nearby park.

I bought coffee.

I sat beneath a tree and watched people pass.

Nobody needed anything from me.

For years, I had considered that emptiness.

Now I recognized it as freedom.

That afternoon, my phone rang.

It was an unfamiliar number.

I almost ignored it.

Then I answered.

“Hello?”

A man’s voice said, “Ms.
